A Virtual Tour of The Ottawa River

OK! OK! So I appear a little apprehensive. Don't you see what I see!? Those rapids look big enough to swallow this whole canoe. I think it's time to switch to a much larger raft. A careful examination of this image reveals several sets of rapids along this stretch of river. In this instance they appear as brighter, whitish blue areas on the darker background of the river. Still, sitting in front of your monitor examining these little white spots just isn't as thrilling as tackling this water first hand.

Whoa! Was that a thrill ride. After all that I can't decide to do it all over again or continue with the tour. Maybe I'll finish the tour and then go do it again! The dam at Fitzroy Harbour may be just a little too much of an obstacle for canoe or raft. This would be a good time to portage our gear and take a little break at the park.
