Located just south of Lake Nipissing, the Pickerel River Area is filled with a variety of lakes boasting beautiful fishing opportunities and excellent canoe routes. Why not hike into a secluded lake and try a little swimming before a nice picnic lunch? There's always fun in the summer sun while in Ontario's Near North. Still, let's not forget all that snowshoeing and trail riding all through our great Canadian winters!

This 36' x 24' image is filled with detail thanks to the Landsat Satellite that collected the data. The image is a false colour enhancement which has been modified to highlight the smallest lakes and ponds while providing us information about different vegetation communities and manmade features such as highways or smaller roads. The image has also been geocorrected to a UTM map projection helping us to determine where any given feature is located.
