Anyone for some Popcorn?

By the airport we saw a big white fuzzy thing, and look here's another! This is a small cloud slowly drifting by on a nice warm summer's day. The similar darker shaped object is the cloud's shadow! Using some simple geometry and knowing where in relation to the image the sun was shining we could even figure out the cloud's height above the ground. Oh, by the way, doesn't this cloud look like a nice piece of popcorn? It sure does, and this is why many people call this type of cloud 'popcorn'.

I wonder what's in the cloud's shadow; a soccer game, people hiking or maybe just having a picnic? All this talk of popcorn and picnics makes me hungry, hungry for some fruit, maybe an apple, or even something like a banana!
